Integration Program for the Development of a Modern Model for the Provision of Social Services in Tajikistan

From 2008 to 2009, Hilfswerk International implemented a project (“Integration Program for the Development of a Modern Model for the Provision of Social Services in Tajikistan”) in cooperation with the Red Crescent Society of Tajikistan, the Committee for Emergency Situations under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan and local governmental executive bodies. The project was funded by the European Union.
Within the framework of the previous project we built and equipped the first day center for children with disabilities in the Gissar District.
During 2008, 417 social workers were trained throughout Tajikistan, and 25 social workers were trained in coaching skills; 17 of them received European standard certificates. In the same year, our organization opened the Social Academy together with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Over the past few years, we have been providing a self-help support program in acquaintance with Austria.
This program was carried out by experienced specialists, without unnecessary bureaucracy since straightforward results are very important to us.
